ELECTRIC INDUSTRY

In the power area, Missouri is affected by the national trend to deregulate and open the electric industry to competition for the end user customer. OPC has had a major role in workshops, roundtables and in the review of national and state legislation of this topic. Mergers in the electric industry are closely watched by OPC so that the ratepayers as well as the shareholders share in the benefits resulting from the mergers.
